CROWN CASINO

CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING

This challenging project required some outside-the-square problem solving:

  • Matching the gold leaf used for Crown’s internal signage led us on a search of the internet for inspiration. We showed images of a gold car to the client and set about tracking down the supplier. The supplier trained one of our team members in the very technical application which has since become the standard for Crown venues.
  • Other technical challenges included prismatic letter shapes requiring customised moulds, fabricated sides and backs and internal illumination.
  • The Merrywell sign required us to replicate an old style neon and weathered paint – we painted different coloured layers and sanded them back to achieve the desired effect.
